I've already got another 7 grand riding on him and I'm thinking of dumping some more on it at
-300. What do ya think Spinch - is he a lock?

Dont stress your luck and Mosley is not a very good bet at 300 in my humble opinion.
Winky is bigger, has a good chin and very good jab and a high workrate AND he is VERY focused on that fight. On the other side he has no pop
so decision Winky at +400.
I was betting chavez via dec too,but i never really believed it, but Winky can too it.
And if you wanna bet Mosely why not wager lesser money on dec or ko ?
I would go with dec +120.
You were right with Morales, but -300 for Mosley ????
Anyway we will see, i am on the other side of the fence on this one.

I wouldnt bet a by dec or by KO prop because I think either or could happen. I think he's going to win but it could be by decision or KO.

I know styles make fights but think about how tough a fight Candelo gave him and then how he in turn got shredded by Ouma. Bronco Mckart gave him a tough fight too and Im pretty sure he's been beat by C level fighters. I didnt see the Vargas fight but Vargas has beaten this guy also. Is he really world class?

just for arguements sake on ur last few points and a few .

Is Mosely NOT a bit of a headacase? IMO yes consifering the tantrum he had an hr b4 Forrest fifgr 1 and his do or die no gameplan against Vern in the second fight. Did Mayorga not make vern look foolish 2x? and then get schooled by a sub par IMO Spinks? And finally, could he be looking ahead to his next payday against Tito. this has all the makings of an upset. value was on winky at over +300 IMO. Good luk. dog play or draw or pass.

I am a huge Sugar Shane fan, and i picked him over DeLaHoya, but this one is def. not a lock. Winky has a very good defense, and Mosley is really only good when going forward and getting inside. If winky gets him outside he has a very good shot. I think the line should be more like Mosley -200. I think it is because Winky is not a house hold name. I want Mosley to win bad, but it will be tough. I think he has a better shot against Tito to be honest.

Well since you guys feel so strongly about it I guess maybe I will just go with what I got. Spinch what do you think? I really like Mosely in this but when 4 of you are telling me it might be a bad play and nobody is saying go for it I'm thinking maybe I'm not seeing something that you guys are.

Boxingtalk is reporting that Gomez vs Mcline is in the works. We'll stomp on that one Tony. I just hope that its in Vegas so I can go dump some serious dough on it if it happens.

Seems like a good idea to me.

Big HW fights are coming in April.
Both Klitschkos and hopefully Golota vs Byrd.

If I was going to bet, and I doubt I shall, I like Shane by SD. As far as a "lock"; that kind
of reminds me of the Loch Ness monster; many
believe, none have seen.

what about throwing away a 10 spot on the draw prop just for the hell of it?......2 of winky`s 3 losses have been by majority decision...

wright`s tough,lefty,an excellent boxer.....but,he really hasn`t fought the elite fighters(i don`t consider vargas elite)....

and i was shocked that boxing rec has him at 5`9 and a half" tall and shane at 5`9"....and they have shane listed with a 2" reach advantage....

does that surprise anybody else?....i knew wright wasn`t a string bean,but,5`9 and a half"?.......won`t be any distinct physical advantages like forrest had....

and i haven`t been particularly crazy about wright`s last couple efforts...

i couldn`t lay 3-1....i`m tempted, like everyone else, by the +250..but,i wouldn`t go apes-it on it.....in my gut,i don`t see mosely failing here....another loss pretty much takes mosely out of the elite and pfp rankings...

i don`t know what happened to mosely vs forrest....he looked little and he didn`t look strong at all...he looked like a different person vs de la hoya...a much bigger and stronger person...

but here`s something to think about....this whole steroid thing has been building over the last 6 to 9 months....wasn`t mosely named in some of these scandals involving balco labs?....

a little snippet from a column by the fantastic(imo) pedro fernandez....i think this was from october.......................

STEROID HEARINGS ARE UNDERWAY IN FRISCO

As I sit here filtering through reports from my many sources in San Francisco where as I write a Federal Grand Jury is probing B.A.L.C.O. Labs of Burlingame, CA and its owner Victor Conte. The way the story goes Conte, a one album bass player with the funk band Tower of Power invented a Steroid that could not be detected by the testing systems in use.

BALCO WENT AFTER THE WORLD’S TOP ATHLETES

My sources go on to say that representatives of Bay Area Labs Cooperative (BALCO) contacted Trainers, Managers, Fathers, and even some Agents of prominent athletes and made them aware of the fact that Conte’s "THG" could give them an undetectable advantage over the competition. WBC & World 154 lb. champion Shane Mosley’s name has surfaced in this scandal that has the world of athletics both amateur and professional reeling. MLB MVP & San Francisco Giants slugger Barry Bonds is set to testify today.

BASEBALL’S BARRY BONDS CHANGES HIS TUNE

When Bonds came into baseball he had a body like comic Jerry Seinfeld. He was then some 40 lbs. lighter than what he is now. Hounded by the Media in recent years on the subject of Steroids, time and again Bonds claims that he has, "Never taken Steroids." Admitting only to working out and taking "Nutritional Supplements" when asked prior, Bond’s Agent was singing a different tune of late. "If Barry took Steroids, he didn’t know it."

MOSLEY WAS INCREDIBLY STRONG FOR HIS SIZE

Shane Mosley has put on a great deal of weight as well. A struggling welterweight fighting at lightweight (135 lbs), Mosley now has a physique best described as almost Hulk-ish at 154 lbs. Add to the equation that Shane could bench press 350 lbs. while weighing just 147, and that could be an indicator of his having some type of synthetic edge. For I know a lot of strong welterweights, BUT none of them can throw 350 lbs. around like Shane!

GOVERNMENT DEMANDED MOSLEY’S POST OSCAR URINE!

The Nevada State Athletic Commission could not come up with Mosley’s Drug screen when the U.S. Government came for it in October because the sample was destroyed shortly after the test results came back "Negative for any banned substances." We all know now that nobody knew what TGH (Tetrahydrogestrinone) was, thus it wasn’t something they were testing for. My sources in the Nevada State House tells me that the "G" seemed to be indicating that they felt Mosley was using the banned substance TGH at some point and time..............................................................

now, this was back,i think in october or something.....with all the heat on this steroid investigation,if mosley was partaking of this THG stuff,i`d bet a dollar to a donut that he`s since stopped....could that have affected the last dlh bout?..

could it mean we see a more normal mosely?....

it`s all speculation....but it`s something to seriously think about...

worth a small +250?...like i said,my gut says mosely, but, who knows.....maybe there`s something to all this synthetic steroid stuff...

just throwing some s-it against the wall ....to see if anything sticks ....

this ones not a "take the rubberband off" type bout...not for me...

I think Mosley has a better chance against Trinidad then Winky.. I think it is a styles clash, and will be a very tough fight, unless he lands a bomb. it should be very close.
